A big thanks to Giant Eagle and #CollectiveBias for sponsoring this post and helping me share this fun tutorial with you guys to celebrate summer at #GiantEagleSlashedPrices. The weather is getting warmer, finally! Ohio has been hanging on to cold days and I am excited to finally get some friends together for some great summer parties. Summer is such a great time to invite friends and family over for food and laughs. I’ve found creating a themed party is the perfect way to get your guests involved and uplevel your get togethers. One of the easiest themes to execute is a tea party and today I’m going to share some of my favorite tips for having an amazing summer tea party for less!
Giant Eagle just slashed their prices on hundreds of products all across their stores(Check HERE to find participating stores) so I thought I would stop in and check out their tea selection. I was so excited to see some of my favorite summer flavors were on a huge discount. I love getting a variety of bright, fruity flavors and also a few caffeine free options as well. Score!
Not only that, but they also had a huge selection of finger foods, cookies and snacks thats prices were slashed as well. I love getting a variety of fresh fruits and baked goods from Giant Eagle’s bakery to give my guests something to eat while we catch up over tea. You can arrange them in fun ways using cake plates or any bright colored dishes you have on hand. Don’t be afraid to mix up colors and patterns, if done right it will look amazing. Follow my simple tutorial below and you can’t go wrong!
After you pick a date and invite your guests the next step is finding colorful, bright and patterned decorations for your tablescape. I love these pastel cake plates for tea parties. The pops of color add a lot to the overall experience of your party. Even if you’re not going to have a cake you can easily arrange finger foods, cookies, fruits, cheeses on top of them.
Step 2: When you’re at Giant Eagle getting your tea make sure to stop by their bakery. They always have such fresh, gorgeous and affordable pastries for your tea party. If your plates and foods are gorgeous it really doesn’t matter how you arrange them, however I like mixing in some fresh flowers as well for an additional pop of color.
Step 3: Nothing says summer quite like beautiful blooms, right? They are a must for any summer tea party. If most of your plates and vases are bright patterns and colors try choosing white flowers to brighten it up a bit. My local Giant Eagle always have a great selection of fresh flowers to choose from which makes it one less stop for my summer parties.
Step 4: My local Giant Eagle always have a huge selection of fresh fruits which make for the perfect addition to a summer tablescape. I like to cut them into bite-sized pieces.
Step 5: I like to start pouring tea as my guest arrives. Make sure to leave sugar cubes and a variety of creamers out, I like to keep a dairy free version for my vegan friends and family. The best part about tea parties is that you don’t have to think too much and with Giant Eagle’s Slashed Prices you don’t have to spend so much either.
