Easy Ways To Get Healthy!
After a very long Winter I have been spending my time searching for healthy ways to keep my immune system up. I found that my lifestyle had a lot to do with why I always seemed to be getting sick, and I was on a mission to make some changes. The first thing I did was quit smoking cigarettes. I know, I know. They are awful for you, but they are an addiction. I realize that I just had to stop, so I did. The second thing was I started meditating more. I know that it sound silly. When I first heard of meditating I thought it was a waste of time. I found that I was often anxious, stressed and overall not where I wanted to be. When I started meditating it really helped with all of that, especially my cravings when I quit smoking.
The third thing that I needed to do was to implement some healthy things into my life. I have never been a big coffee drinker, so when I cut out pop (I’m from Ohio for all of you soda drinkers!) . I knew that I had to find something great to substitute with. A friend of mine, Connie, from Lost River Naturals had sent me some Turmeric Vitality tea that was absolutely delicious. It was my first taste of turmeric and although I was a little nervous I was pleasantly surprised. Connie is amazing at what she does. Turmeric gave me energy, helped with inflammation and so many other wonderful things.
I also started looking into other types of natural, organic spices and herbs. I found that Holy Basil is such a wonderful herb. I chose the Rama variety and I drink it in a tea. It’s simple enough to infuse your own tea. I found that I am so more calm, I’m sharper mentally and I feel very peaceful. Holy basil also helps with inflammation and a ton of other things
Here are a few different tea infusers that I own.
I also found that it’s also important to detox your body. Now, you can do this so many different ways. I chose to do a bentonite clay soak. This is so simple, and what it does is it pulls the heavy metals out of your system. Having this metals causes you to feel foggy, lethargic and just “off”, at least that’s how I described it. Immediately after soaking in my bentonite clay for 45 minutes I felt better.
I purchased all of my organic herbs and spices from Mountain Rose Herbs, they have so many wonderful, affordable products that are of the highest quality. You can visit their website by clicking the banner below.
