I have a confession to make. I watch a lot of food porn. This isn’t me being dirty, Mom! (I know she’s reading this). Food porn is a real thing. It’s defined as a “glamorized spectacular presentation of food”. Basically, the Food Network. I usually watch amazing chefs build fantastic meals from scratch in hopes of it sinking into my brain so I can then become an amazing chef. However, the reality is 5 minutes into the show I am starving and rummaging around the house trying to find some high-fat comfort food to shove in my gullet.
Have you ever watched Sweet Genius?
Intimidating, huh? Even when he’s trying really hard to not be intimidating he’s still intimidating…
Anyway, that man always talks about macarons. Well, maybe yells about macarons, and how the contestants stink at making them. As if having that man yelling at you isn’t hard enough I researched and found out that macarons are indeed super complicated to make. Something about aging egg whites (what?), and letting something else dry. So when I saw these babies on Indayani Baked Goods’ Etsy shop I was amazed! Come be amazed with me.
Peanut Butter & Jelly
SO good! As if those weren’t enough they also make these adorably delicious looking mini pies!
Sweet baby Jesus!
Indayani Baked Goods sent me an assortment of macarons to try. I will admit that I have never eaten a macaron before so I was thrilled to get to try them.
I received the chocolate coffee, vanilla coffee and peanut butter and jelly macarons.
Sometimes, especially when shipping fragile baked goods they break before they are delivered. I don’t expect food to arrive looking fantastic, but Indayani Baked Goods packs them very carefully. They arrived looking JUST like to do in the pictures.
Now, on to the taste. They were absolutely amazing. I loved all three equally. They were all very rich and decadent tasting. I do have to say, I felt super fancy sitting in my sweat pants on my bed (I was hiding from anyone that would try to eat my macarons) eating these deliciously beautiful desserts. I loved how the vanilla and chocolate macarons didn’t have an overpowering coffee flavor. It was the perfect blend. The peanut butter and jelly was out of this world. I have never had such an amazing taste experience in my life.
Indayani Baked Goods would make an awesome Mother’s day gift, go ahead Mommas! Send them over to Indayani Baked Goods you deserve a fancy treat!
